It was my first ever time on a plane and I was on my own going to see my dad in Africa. I was super excited and I had looked at beautiful pictures of it. I had been sent to see my dad because my mum had recently become ill and didn’t know if she could look after my anymore. Then, when I looked out of the plane widow fear suddenly crept over me as I realised that I was on the wrong plane! I screamed as loud as I possibly could but no one heard me. I was panaking!

This was a great first entry to the 100 wc Emma. You chose vocabulary for effect and included build up and drama. Where do you think you could have included a simile or metaphor to make it even better?
